Ken is very experienced in commercial construction and has had over 40 years in the building industry with over 40 years experience in the management of commercial and civil projects. He is fullly involved with contracts from the tendering stage through toprogramming, liaising with onsite management, quality control and claim processes. Ken enjoys the day to day contact he gets with his boys onsite and becasue of this is always ahead of the game when construction issues arrive
Gavin Wallace - Company Director
Gavin has been with the company fulltime for 20 years. He has worked on commercial, residential and civil contracts starting out on the tools then 5 years as a site manager and the last 11 years in the company head office. He is a qualified Carpenter has a Diploma in Architectural Technology and extensive knowledge of Health and Safety documentation and procedures and is proficient in MS Project and AutoCAD.
Shirley Wallace - Administration Manager
Shirley is responsible for the day to day running of Wallace Building Contractors. She organises employee wages and bill and account payments. Shirley has been an integral part of Wallace Building Contractors office for over 25 years and keeps her boys in the office on their toes when it comes to following office protocols and ensuring a professionally run engine room.
Amy Wallace - Administration Manager
Amy is in the company office. With a background in insurance she brings a professional approach to the high level of compliance required in a modern construction company. She is responsible for organising Health and Safety documentation, employee contracts and industry training, Sub-contractor payments, high security contract employee vetting and ensures employees are supplied with their PPE.
Ben Burns - Contract Manager
Ben has been with WBC since 2013 after previously working on Resort Construction in Fiji for eight years. Ben has quickly proved his Construction knowledge and management skills for Wallace. He has managed a large team on many of our big sites - Australian War Memorial in the new Wellington Memorial Park, the $80 million Gateway project at Victoria University and the 2 stage Victoria Street Apartments.
Brady McMinn - Contract Manager
Brady started working for Wallace over 15 years ago while completing his Apprenticeship. He spent 5 years overseas working in London before returning to Wallaces in 2013. Brady has completed the Kenepuru Hospital Nga Taiohi project and looked after the Southern Zone of the Victoria University Gateway Project. He also was our Foreman for the concrete works to the new $70 million Carpark Building at the Wellington Airport. One of the largest buildings to be built in Wellington in the last 10 years.
Alistair Mcinyre - Site Foreman
Alistair has worked on commercial and civil projects for the last 30 years in New Zealand and Australia. He has has completed a number of unique contracts while working with Wallace Building Contractors including stabilisation work to the Silverstream Landfill, the construction of a number of large concrete retaining walls and more recently has run large teams of formworkers on the last three highrises Wallace has completed. Alistair has completed the 3500m3 of concrete works at One Market Lane and was also our Foreman on the Wellington Airport Carpark.
Brian Titter - Site Foreman
Brian has made his mark as a committed and experienced foreman earning high praises from clients. Particularly on Seismic upgrades and Re-strengthening work including Cumberland House and the McKenzie Building on Willis St and the re-strengthening of the Clemenger building at 8 Kent Terrace. Brian completed the major upgrade of the Hutt City Council Civic Building which Brian's father and grandfather built for Angus Construction in the 1950's.
Paul Brodie - Comflor Installation Manager
Paul is responsible for the Comflor installation division of Wallace Building Contractors. He is the foreman for all Comflor Metal Tray flooring installation for the Wellington Region. Paul and his team have installed over 25,000m2 of Comflor throughout Wellington and the lower North island. Paul is trained in height and harness system setup and equipment auditing.
Mark Bloomfield - Plant Manager
Mark has over 25 years in the Construction industry and has been with Wallace for over 20 years. Mark is primarily based at our company workshop in Porirua. He has a team offive workshop staff that manufacture construction items and formwork needed on site. He ensures all onsite staff have materials and plant available to them and will organise repairs to any plant needed. He is a qualified carpenter and has qualifications in electrical certification and Health and Safety. Mark is our H&S employee representative undertaking Health and Safety Audits on all our sites and monitors Health and Safety processes.
